Individual instrumental lessons take place twice a week; this is increased to three times a week in years 11 and 12.
All pupils attend classes in solfeggio two or three times a week to develop their aural skills.
Pupils in years 1 to 9 also attend special rhythmic classes in order to develop their coordination and familiarise them with historical dance forms.
In addition students participate in the school orchestras. Performance is an integral part of the school curriculum.

General academic subjects are taught according to the national curriculum for primary and secondary schools and the TMHS study plan.
All classrooms are available for use for instrumental practice outside lesson time.
Students from outside Tallinn may be accommodated in the school’s own dormitory house.
